About

Who we are

SFT Awareness is a ministry that teaches people how to efficiently and completely remove emotional pain.  We accomplish this by teaching the attitudes and skills which the Father laid down in the Old Testament, Jesus taught and exemplified in the Gospels, and the Holy Spirit developed within the church.

Why we exist

Our Vision

With the guidance and direction of God, we aspire to train any individual who is willing to take the time and perform the work necessary to become a pain processor.  Our vision is to make the Church a place where people come to be healed and learn to be content in everything (Phil. 4:11). Our primary objectives include strengthening our family, church, work, community and society by teaching individuals how to train others to remove emotional pain.  Within the next 10 years we pray to have multiple trainers within every state in the United States.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower people with tools that aid in the development of peace-filled lives

Our 3-Fold Approach

  1. Teaching people the effects of unprocessed emotional pain.
  2. Helping people understand how unprocessed emotional pain works.

Year Established

SFT Awareness was established in 1995.

Our History

Ron Wilkins, the founder of SFT Awareness, carried around unprocessed emotional pain from his childhood for years and it led to the development of many escape behaviors.  He was a preacher in the church for well of 20 years and held a high position in a corporate industry.  Due to his involvement in eight of the nation’s top ten addictions, Ron was arrested and sentenced to five and a half years in prison.  Before going to prison, he was taught how to process emotional pain through a program in Atlanta, Georgia called BMI.  This training made it possible for him to go through prison, learning Christ’s attitudes and skills and training others as an inmate counselor.Once he was released from prison, Ron continued his ministry.  SFT Awareness made its first appearance to an audience of over 500 people and since then has traveled to many states and several countries.  Ron trained hundreds of people and many of them went on to train others.  SFT Awareness now has its headquarters in Smyrna, Tennessee at the Highland Heights Church of Christ.  This ministry continues to spread and grow with direction and guidance from God.
