Clear Signs of a Pain Carrier

December 17, 2009

Carry Load

SFT Awareness participants will get an introduction to the program during the first session.  Part of that introduction is learning common characteristics that pain carriers have.  Answer the following questions to see if you are an emotional pain carrier.

1.  Do you want other people to solve your problems for you?

There are a couple of ways that pain carriers will do this.  First, they are looking for some miracle cure to fix their problems.  Unfortunately, in the real word there are not quick fixes.  It is unrealistic to think that a person can reverse years of negative training overnight.

Second, pain carriers think that is if my son, daughter, spouse, parents, friends, etc will fix their lives, thenI will not be miserable.  That cannot be further from the truth.  There is only one person that anyone can change whcih is theirself.

2. Do you like to dump on people?

Pain carriers are notorious for telling everyone else how much they have suffered in life.   Life is not fair in the mind of the pain carrier.

3.  Do you get involved in pity parties.

A pity party is when several dumpers get together and everyone wants to tell each other how much they have suffered.  Of course in a pity party it is about talking and not listening.  Each dumper is looking for the most sympathy and wants to be the center of the pity party.

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then that is a sign that you are a pain carrier to some degree.  Please give us a call at 615-322-5300 and set up a free session.
