New International Opportunities

SFT Awareness was taken to Costa Rica during the first week of August. I was blessed to work with a church in Sabanilla and, by the power of God, many things were accomplished. While in Costa Rica I resided in Sabanilla which is on the outskirts of San Jose. I stayed with Steven Guerrero who is the preacher of the Sabanilla church of Christ. Steven arranged the trip for SFT to be brought to his church and acted as translator for me.

We were able to conduct two hour workshops that spanned for four nights. During the day Steven and I conducted one-on-one sessions with individual members of the congregation, answering questions or dealing with struggles they faced. The response from members of the Sabanilla church of Christ was awesome. Also, Steven was able to translate most of our material into Spanish.

The church there is looking forward to SFT coming back in the near future. Many doors have been opened because of this trip to Costa Rica. We are currently planning to go back in October in an attempt to offer SFT to the Sabanilla community and the Psychology department of the San Jose University.
