I heard someone tell a story recently. In his story he saw two old men sitting on a porch. One man was relaxed and the other could not get comfortable. He asked the relaxed old man, “Why is he shifting in his seat like that?”
He replied, “That seat has a nail sticking up just enough to cause pain.”
He then asked the old man again, “Why does he not get up and sit somewhere else?”
The old man said, “I guess he has not tired of the pain yet.”
The story of the two old men makes a great point relating to SFT processing step 1 which is Recognize Emotional Pain. Step 1 is the most difficult SFT step to master. This is often because people are living life like the second old man who was sitting on the nail. People say they are “dealing” with their emotional pain when what they are actually doing is enduring it. Enduring pain means doing nothing different and getting the same result.
At some point when we get enough of the pain we do something different by getting off the nail. We teach people how to do this by using a 4 step process that is designed for removing emotional pain. Any who wishes to learn for free please contact us.
